About Roy Mauritsen

Thanks for visiting my Portfolio.

A Graphic designer with over 20 years experience, including familiarity with catalog and retail needs.  A person with many different hats that has worked in many aspects of graphic design, from the print floor and pre-press to designing of business cards and flyers to POP and beyond. I'm also a capable photographer and have worked in multimedia successfully conceptualizing and executing TV commercials for a major regional retail company for several years. I believe in concepts that are out of the box and work hard to make that happen. Deadlines are not to be missed and the client whomever they are externally or internally, should always come away more excited about their project after meeting with me. I like a challenge, like a multi platform product launch or advertising campaign.

In my spare time I've been a marketing director for a popular Long Island convention and presently serve as an Art Director consultant for 2 small press publishers. I've created dozens of published book covers, I'm an award-winning fantasy artist, and a published author. My interests have taken me white water rafting in Costa Rica, on safari in South Africa, horseback riding across the highlands of Scotland, Cage diving with great white sharks in Mexico and shark diving in the Bahamas.

As much experience as I have, I'm still learning new things and though not all experiences may directly apply to all cases, I'm confident my broad range of experiences and skills can compliment a creative vision.
